Andy Hammond and Family - February 2012

Dear Vaastu Villa

We all had a fantastic time during our stay, truly memorable and hopefully to be repeated in the future. Much of our enjoyment came from having a wonderful house to stay in and wonderful guides to ease us into what for us was a very alien environment. If you want to see my record of time in pictures I have made a slide show and put it on youtube.  The music chosen to go with the slides could only be John Mclaughlin and Shakti after a wonderful evening in Panjim.

Love and Peaces. Andy

I booked to stay at Vaastu Villa after staying there as a guest a few years ago.  There have been many improvements to the property since, making my stay even better than before. The villa is away from the bustle of the more touristy areas but still accessible to the amenities if you want that sort of thing. Best to rent a scooter, car or avail the services of the local taxi.

The top balcony is the perfect place to top up your tan and take in the full view of the Mandovi estuary, Miramar beach and Goas capital city, Panaji, across the water. You should also try to be awake early for a truly stunning view of the  sunrise from the balcony at least once.  The new middle floor terrace is the perfect place to while away the hours listening to the waves beating on the shore it is a nice bright private area also good for sunbathing and good place to cook outdoors as it has a second kitchen with tandoor and barbeque installed. There is a well tended, paved and shaded garden area leading to a large pool close to the property and covered areas for parking your car and bike, keeping your vehicles cool.

There is a list of good local places to eat on the website but I did not find myself going much further than the shack at the bottom of the hill.

I'm already looking forward to going  back next year.
